The mission of Animal Media Foundation ( AMF) is to facilitate collaborations between the entertainment industry and animal welfare organizations. AMF creates opportunities for musicians to participate in animal welfare initiatives and increase public awareness.

_{Carol Scafuro}

Founded in 2002 by Carol Scafuro and Dexter Brown, AMF manages and produces projects ranging from CD compilations to large-scale performance events.

Combining Dexter's years of experience as a recording engineer and musician and their mutual passion for the welfare of animals, Carol and Dex wanted to bring a new perspective to the future of philanthropy and the music business.

Carol and Dexter were each raised in families where a sensitivity to the misunderstanding and mistreatment of so many animals was cultivated.

The couple met in 1997, and both recognized in each other a similar passion for making a difference in the lives of animals and their protectors. Together they formed the Animal Media Foundation, a fundraising vehicle to further the cause of animal welfare both regionally and nationally.
